One by one, the items emerge:
- A photo of three girls pointing to the sky
- A necklace made of three star-shaped pendants
- Three letters, written but never sent—one from each girl
- And at the very bottom: a hand-drawn star map labeled “私たちの帰る場所” (“Our Place to Return”)
Aika’s letter is read aloud by Kaho, her voice trembling.
In it, Aika speaks not of regret, but of hope.
Even as they drifted apart, she believed the stars would bring them back together.
“Someday,” the letter ends,
“when the constellations return, so will we.”
